The BLOCK Research Group
The BLOCK Research Group's research interests include: analysis of vaulted masonry structures, computational form finding and structural optimization, fabrication and construction innovation, appropriate construction technologies, and innovation in teaching and learning. Professor Dr. Philippe Block heads the BLOCK Research Group at ETH Zurich. Dr. Block is an assistant professor of Building Structure at the Institute of Technology in Architecture (ITA) in the Department of Architecture, and an associated faculty member of the Department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering at ETH Zurich.
